We have finished our online registration and made a reservation at the Pinnacle Restaurant for Glacier Bay night and narrowed down the excursions we are going to do. This is a photo of our cabin. We will post a real one when we get on.
Alaska has had their coldest winter in 50 years. Apparently it is continuing into spring and summer as the temperatures in the ports we will be visiting have not had highs above the low 40's yet so brrrrrrr and pack the winter coats, scarves, gloves and raincoats..it has been pouring rain too!
Addendum 5-14-12: Good news...for the Westerdam's first week in Alaska there is only light rain today as they are in Juneau and the sun was actually shining in Ketchikan and it was 53 today! Woohoo a warming trend. We are getting very excited now as it gets closer. Loved this webcam shot above of a beautiful day in Seattle today so clear you can see Mt. Ranier which is 50 miles away! Below is the Westerdam docked in Juneau today..our cabin would be on the opposite side. Soon this will be us!
